The problem of disposal and use of alkaline batteries is not well known.
They are mainly non-rechargeable, which increases their environmental impact because they cannot be reused.

Silver batteries

 

However, there are silver batteries, that are mainly used for watches, which can be recycled more easily and therefore have a lower environmental impact.

Conclusions

 

In conclusion, I think there should be more collection points for these batteries so they are not left at home or in unsuitable bins. Batteries have chemical components that can be flammable and cause damage due to their toxicity.
We should find a way to have rechargeable batteries for all devices that are less toxic.
