Introduction
The title of this book, as seen on the front cover, is Follow Your Dreams (Cancelled). Follow Your Dreams (Cancelled) is graffiti that a popular street artist, Banksy, white washed on a wall in Chinatown, Boston. The message of this graffiti is for the american people to wake up and see the world we live in and take action to change that world. Banksy is conveying the message that we are no longer free to follow our dreams, and asking us to change that. We the american people need to realize that we can follow our dreams no matter the circumstances or the people that doubt us.
The people in this book have removed the (Cancelled) from Follow Your Dreams. No matter their circumstance they continued to follow their dreams.

She was penniless, severely depressed, divorced, trying to raise a child on her own, while attending school and writing a novel. She is best known for being the author of the Harry Potter series. She went from being unemployed and living on state benefits to becoming a multi-millionaire in five years.
His reputation was ruined with a couple of failed automobile businesses but learned from his mistakes and his motor company forever changed the automotive industry. He was the sponsor of the development of the assembly line technique of mass production.
He was fired after one performance and told “you ain’t going nowhere, son. You ought to go back to driving a truck.” Later he went on to be known as the King of Rock and Roll, selling 118 million albums, having 107 top 40 hits and staring in many 1960s movies.

The director wrote at his audition- “Can’t act. Can’t sing. Slightly bald. Can dance a little.” Today he is regarded by many as the greatest popular music dancer of all time.
Fred Astaire

He wasn’t able to speak until he was almost four years old and his teachers said he would never amount to much. Later he went on to receive a Nobel Prize in Physics and today he is known as the Father of Modern Physics.
He was fired from a newspaper because he “lacked imagination and he had no original ideas”. He later became an American motion-picture and television producer and showman. Today is known as a pioneer of cartoon films and as the creator of Disneyland.

He was told by a teacher he was “too stupid to learn anything”. As an inventor, he went on to create great innovations as the electric light bulb and the phonograph. He held more than a 1,000 patents for his inventions.
They were turned down by a recording company saying “we don’t like their sound and guitar music is on the way out.” The group went on to transform popular music as a creative, highly commercial art form over the next decade. They were one of the most popular bands of all time.
He was rejected from the University of Southern California School of Theater, Film, and Television three times. He later went on to become an Academy Award-winning director, screenwriter and producer.
He was cut from the high school basketball team, went home, locked himself in his room and cried. He later played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels he went on to lead the Chicago Bulls to six NBA championships and won the Most Valuable Player Award five times.

She was fired from her first job as a television reporter because she was “unfit for television”. Today she is a billionaire best known for hosting her own internationally popular talk show from 1986 to 2011. She is also an actress, philanthropist, publisher and producer.
Conclusion
We must all remember to remove the (Cancelled) sign! We must keep our dreams alive and strive every day to make those dreams a reality!
