I have heard a lot about Treasureland.

When it was due, I packed every good advice and set off.

“Are you going to Treasureland too?” the man asked as he passed me by.

“Of course I am, but go ahead and I will catch up with you later,

my bag is very heavy.”

“What are you carrying in there?”

“Father told me to bring my water bottle, in case I might be thirsty”.

“Whenever you are thirsty in Treasureland,

you can always drink fresh water from the river”.

I emptied my bottle on the ground.

The grass looked much greener after I did.

My bag felt lighter now, as did my shoulders.

“Are you going to Treasureland too?” the woman asked, walking by.

“Of course I am, you go ahead and I will catch up with you later, my bag is so heavy.”

“What is in the bag?”

“Mother said I better bring food with me,

in case I am hungry”.

“Whenever you are hungry in Treasureland,

there are always delicious fruit on the trees for you to pick”.

I left the food that I had brought with me on the path.

Soon, the birds were very busy sharing it.

The bag felt lighter now, as did my legs.

“Are you going to Treasureland too?” the boy asked, skipping by.

“Of course I am, but go ahead and I will catch up with you later, my bag is heavy.”

“What have you got in it?”

“My brother said I should bring my map and my compass with me,

in case I might get lost”.

“In Treasureland, you can climb up the hill,

and look at all the land and find your way”.

I left the map and the compass on the side of the road,

to be found by uncertain travelers.

The bag felt lighter now, as did my head.

“Are you going to Treasureland too?” the girl asked, running by.

“Of course I am, run along and I will catch up with you later, my bag is a little heavy”.

“What do you have there?”

“My sister suggested that I take my flashlight with me,

to see at night”.

“In Treasueland, the stars and the moon are shining brightly”.

I hung my flashlight on a tree by the road,

to lighten the path for those who may need it.

The bag felt light now, as did my heart.
