Pintxos were created bac in the 30, when the bar La Espiga, situated in San Sebastian started offering little but suculent food to it’s clients at great prices. The name comes from a small wooden straw that was used to sustain the main ingredient in a slice of bread. Nowadays there is a lot of ingredient variety that can be used when a pintxo is elaborated.

 

Pintxoaren  historia Donostin hasten da 30. hakarkadan La ESpiga tabernan. Bertan  prezio onean eskeintzen zuten bezeroei ogi xerra baten gainean janari mota desberdinak zotz batekin loturik. Gaur egun edozein janariko pintxoak aurki daiteke.
