FIRST MEETING TO ESKISEHIR,TURKEY

A daily diary for our first meeting

10-11-2019

Departure from Eleftherios Venizelos  (Athens 15:45 airport), arrival at Istanbul Airport and from there to Ankara Airport.

The assistant manager Mr.Dayan, from the Eskisehir Sugar school was waiting for us and we were transferred to Eskisehir by his car.

11/11/2019

First day of Erasmus + project funny digiclasses. The Turkish teachers and headmaster took us out of the hotel and lead us to their school. When we arrived at the 8:25 school the children were lined up I the school’s yard, after that the manager of the school talked to the children about the reason for our presence, they welcomed us and afterwards they sang their national anthem with their flag hoisted.

Then the colleagues who were very friendly and enthusiastic offered us tea in their office and we had a first mention in our countries and schools.Then we went to the school’s event room to get startedproject work.The director of  Seker ilkokulu (sweet school) made a presentation of their school and as well as the program it has developed.

A game of knowing each other better followed, and then the presentation of our schools began.Digital videos presentation(playposit,edpuzzle,h5p)At noon we went out to eat at a restaurant located in a park that was just near to school.The same night there was a table at the school in our honor in the presence of all school colleagues .While there was live music. We came in contact with Turkish culture (music, food, dance).Return to hotel for rest.

Common craft presentation.Then we split into groups to create the Logo of the program with web 2:0 tools like poster my wallet, pixiz and canva. Croatia’s Logo was selected after an electronic vote.A table was followed at the school with dishes prepared by the parents of the school.Then there was a meeting with the Eskisehir Primary Director at his office and we received a gift offer for our schools.Free afternoon.

Presentation and creation of stop motion(workshop).We cooperated and we made a scenario for a stop motion creation with materials which were prepared from Turkish team.After lunch we visited a  mosque, we had a walk in the old town of Eskisehir where we visited the Mersion Museum (soft and pliable stone carved and made by various objects), watched the construction of a blown glass object and we visited the museum of the modern art.In the evening there was a dinner in the old Town restaurant.

Presentation of the program,  how we can make comics with comic strips tool.Schedule what each country participating in the program will undertake to work on and present a first online collaboration meeting on 6 December.On our own initiative we have organized a live online e-twinning meeting.Visit to Porsduk Park.Free afternoon.Dinner in the old town restaurant.

Last day  of the program.Meeting at the school where we were given gifts by colleagues and the headmaster of the school as well as the credentials for the program.Departure  from Eskisehir by train to Ankara. Ankara airport shuttle,  Ankara-Istanbul-Athens flight.
