Whether or not you dream of giving a TED or TEDx presentation, there is a lot to be learned from studying the TED process. In this course, we’ll try to learn how they do what they do, and hopefully do it too!

I suppose the first place to start is Chris Anderson’s presentation.

A good TED talk is based on an idea worth sharing. You transfer an idea. You want your audience’s brain to get in sync with you, and with each other. You want to teleport your neuronal pattern into other minds.

4

one – focus on just one major idea

two – give people a reason to care – stir their curiosity

three – build your idea piece by piece, using familiar concepts, metaphors and the language of the audience

four – make your idea worth sharing – who benefits from it? is it universal?

Think about something new  – head

(thought provoking, inspirational, according to Roi Shternin)

Learn a new technique – hand

Make the world a better place (call to action) – heart

12

How does Simon Sinek use these principles?

13

What – Head

How – Hand

Why – Heart

No wonder it’s so popular!!

14

What kind of talk is this?
