DUMB BANK ROBBERS ARRESTED

The police arrested two Australians after they robbed $171,000 from a bank in Vail, Colorado.

The two, Luke Carroll (19) and Anthony Prince (20), needed money. Both young men had big debts* in both the United States and Australia. Carroll and Prince decided to take care of their problem in a quick and easy way. They decided to rob a bank. They planned the robbery for two months but they were not very clever.

On the day of the robbery, the robbers took a bus to the bank. They entered the bank carrying a pillowcase* and a gun. Carroll filled the pillowcase with the money, while Prince stood watching. The two then went into a store and bought new clothes. Afterwards, they took a car to the airport. They planned to escape to Mexico.

It wasn’t difficult for the police to catch them – they were wearing their name cards during the robbery! The police followed Carroll and Prince to the airport. They found the two in the men’s bathroom. The robbers were taking pictures of themselves holding the money! At the time, they thought it was funny. The police did not think it was so funny. Carroll and Prince will be spending the next five years in jail.
