Hello everyone and thank you for choosing reading this book!

In my first book I told about the business I opened called Hilula and now you can look at this book as a sequel in which I will tell how I produced a day of photography that you can produce yourself!

So photo day,
What is it actually?!
A photo day is a day that you can actually do with any person you choose, and in which you can take photos of anything you want!
You can choose a photo day whose purpose is to take good and beautiful photos of you,
You can choose a photo shoot day whose purpose is to photograph any product you like
And you can even choose a photo day in which you photograph a landscape.
In my book I will focus more on a photo day with the aim of photographing people and product, in my case photographing people and cool items of clothing!

So in order to produce a photo shoot, what should you do?
1. The first thing to understand is the purpose of photography, what do you choose to photograph? In my case I chose festival clothes that include a kimono and clothing items.

2. You must create a vision in your head, really try to imagine this day and ask yourself questions – how many people would you like to have? In which location? Does this location highlight the photographed items?
In my case for example – I decided that I wanted to have at least 5 people photographed so that there would be a good atmosphere, I knew that I would need a “clean” background, so I chose Jaffa.

3. After you have chosen sections 1 and 2 you must find people who will be interested in taking part in this day! – It could be good friends who will enjoy it together with you, it could be people who, for example, need good pictures of themselves!

You can post an ad on Instagram / through friends and that’s how you’ll see that people will come to you that it really suits them!
In my case, I wanted good friends to come because I knew it would create a good and fun atmosphere and that way the photos turned out prettier!
I posted an ad to my friends and told them that anyone who comes to take a picture will receive a piece of clothing that I sewed as a gift!
If you don’t find friends, you can search in dedicated groups for photo shoots on Facebook, there are groups with lots of modelers who are interested in being photographed even for free for their experience!

4. Camera – I’m happy to say that in today’s era we can really be satisfied with our phone camera which is super high quality to get good photos!
However, in my case I felt that in order for me to feel that the day was more professional then I would like to bring a photographer and yet I knew that I did not have the budget for that.
What I did was I entered Facebook groups of photographers and I was surprised to find out that there are beginner photographers who are interested in doing free photography days(!!!) to gain experience and fill their portfolio!
There I found a wonderful guy who actually took all the photos on a photo day for free!

5. Collaborations – As I told you in the previous sections about the wonderful collaborations you can find with photographers/models, I’m happy to say that you can do collaborations with businesses! What does that mean?
You can search for a brand/business owner whose product will be combined with your product on the day of the photo shoot and offer him to join!
On the photo shoot day we did – we collaborated with a well-known chain for free sunglasses!!!
What it required of me was to simply send a message to that network and suggest that she borrow some of her products for a photo shoot and in return she would receive extremely valuable photos!
It would look great! It’s great that businesses share, it’s great and it upgraded the photos like crazy and made them more professional!

6. Date and time – after you have people, photographer, location and products, don’t forget to set a date and time for them (better from the beginning). It will give you a deadline and be professional.

7. Before the shooting day-
* You must see that you have enough items
* You must know your location relatively well, I recommend going to the place and finding 4-5 good spots for photography.
* You should create a WhatsApp group that includes all the participants and give them reminders, requests, etc…

8. Photo shoot day itself-
First of all, the most important thing is that you be in a good mood!!
Be proud of yourselves, you have reached this moment, you have produced such a day, and hence what you have to hope for is that it really turned out the best!
I recommend bringing bottles of water, and even taking care of nice refreshments for all participants!
Come calm, smile, be happy and most importantly have fun! All these good energies will be transferred to the participants and will positively affect the visibility of the photos.
I recommend watching live the photos that come out and see if you like it and if not, ask the photographer to change the angle/position/whatever is necessary for you to like it!
