Most of the factors that create soil pollution come from human causes, where among the most important are:

– Directly leaving household waste and industrial waste;

– Discharged gases, pesticides and chemical fertilizers;

– Mixing with soil through the precipitation of harmful gases that pollute the air;

– Erosions that come from the destruction of forests.

Land contamination destroys the balance of nutrients contained in the soil. Solid artificial matter accumulates on the ground and changes its physical properties. Chemical residues mix with cultivated plants on the soil and negatively affect the biological properties of these plants. Heavy metals, gasses and other residues that accumulate on the soil spoil the development and quality of the plants. These negative changes that occur on the ground, follow the nourishing chain and are transmitted to plants, animals, and humans. Now to prevent these damages need that;

-Pesticides and fertilizers are used to the extent that they do not damage the soil;

– Solid recyclable solid waste should be returned in harmony with the appropriate method;

– In particular, used waters containing hazardous substances should not be released to land without being cleaned;

And most importantly, the level of social awareness on the issue of soil pollution should be increased.
