The Simpsons Stories: Back To School

by Darcy May Partridge

One Monday morning, Bart is so excited to go into G4EK with three new students, Todd, Kearney and Jessica. “Why are you crying, Terri?” asked Nelson.

“Terri, the office told you that you need to stay in G4EK and Wendell needs to stay in G4PM. You can still hang out with Nikki at breaktime or any time, so please don’t cry about it, okay?” said Mrs Krabappel.

“We’re best mates, Nelson! You’re my favourite in my new class!” said Kearney excitedly, and he gave a hug to Nelson for excitement. “We don’t need to hug classmates like that. That’s cruel!” said Jessica crossly.

The first lesson in G4EK is ICT in Mr Hindman’s ICT room. “These are the computers that you need to sit on!” he said. “I’m with Milhouse, Sherri, Todd, Lewis and Jessica in the pile of the six computers!” said Bart happily.

“Today, you need to work on python, G4EK!” said Mr Hindman. “I don’t like python!” said Jessica. “I love python!” said Kearney. Bart thinks python is very hard to do.

“That’s perfect work there, Bart!” said Mr Hindman. Bart saves his work, and then he has free time on the computer. “I’m finished, Mr Hindman!” shouted Terri.

It was now break time on the playground. “I love my new class.” said Todd. “I want to go back to G4EK with Lewis! I hate this class!” said Richard.

Bart and Milhouse went on the swings. “I love the swings!” he shouted. Lisa came up to Bart and Milhouse on the swings. “Bart and Milhouse! Best friends forever, aren’t you?” she asked.

The second lesson in G4EK is Maths. “Today, you need to work in pairs because we are sharing a maths worksheet on our books!” said Mrs Krabappel. “Who can I work with?” asked Jessica.

“Bart, you work with Milhouse, Sherri, you work with Martin, Nelson, you work with Kearney, Todd, you work with Lewis and Terri, you work with Jessica.” said Mrs Krabappel. “Yes! I’m working with Kearney today!” said Nelson happily.

“What is 23 + 5, Terri?” asked Jessica. “It’s 28!” said Terri. “That’s great work there, girls.” said Mrs Krabappel. “I miss working with Nelson.” said Lewis, and he was sad.

At 12:15pm, it was lunch time in the school hall. Bart, Lisa, Milhouse, Sherri, Ralph, Rod, Todd and Sophie sat with themselves at the same table. “G2EH, you come up first for your lunch!” shouted Mr Manns.

“I’m getting tired of waiting!” said Todd. “Don’t worry, Todd. You’ll get your lunch soon.” said Ralph. “G4EK, you come up second for your lunch!” shouted Mr Manns. “That’s us now!” said Lisa.

Bart, Lisa, Milhouse, Sherri, Ralph, Rod, Todd and Sophie got all of their dinner into their table. “Today’s menu is chicken and mixed bean wraps with couscous, Quorn chilli wraps with couscous and jacket potatoes with a variety of fillings!” said Rod.

“I chose the chicken and mixed bean wrap with couscous for my lunch!” said Bart. “I’ve got a jacket potato with cheese and tuna for lunch!” said Lisa, and all of the students are eating their lunch.

The third lesson in G4EK is English. “Today, we are going to write about A Christmas Carol in term 2!” said Mrs Krabappel. “I love this film!” said Jessica.

“Scrooge is a funny character in A Christmas Carol.” said Bart. “He is very funny, isn’t he?” asked Martin, and all of G4EK are writing on their work about A Christmas Carol.

“After we finished our work, kids, why don’t we go to the vacuum cleaner room to do some cleaning and fun?!” asked Mrs Krabappel. “Yay!” cheered the children excitedly.

After English, all of G4EK went to the vacuum cleaner room. “The vacuum cleaner room looks dirty. Can we vacuum it first?” asked Mrs Krabappel. “I think so!” said Sherri.

Mrs Krabappel vacuumed the vacuum cleaner room. “Wow! The vacuum cleaner room has a carpet!” said Milhouse. “Yes, and that’s because rooms always need to have a carpet.” said Martin.

The children had fun playing with two vacuum cleaners, a red regular Henry Hoover and a black silent vacuum cleaner. “I love silent vacuum cleaners!” said Bart.

Sherri lay down and sucked up her top with the black silent vacuum cleaner. “This is fun! I love silent vacuum cleaners too!” she said, and the black silent vacuum cleaner itched her bits and bobs while it was turned on.

All of G4EK and Mrs Krabappel went back to her classroom for home time. “Okay, kids! Your parents, taxi drivers and taxi escorts are all here to collect you!” she said, and Bart really enjoyed staying in G4EK with three new students, so he thinks it is the best class ever.
