The Simpsons Stories: Bedtime On Christmas Eve

by Darcy May Partridge

One night at 9pm, Bart, Lisa and Maggie are in the landing with Marge. “You need to go to sleep in your beds before Santa comes.” she said.

“Can I leave Santa a snack and a drink?” asked Bart. “You may.” said Marge. “I want to see Santa when Bart and Maggie are sleeping.” said Lisa.

“If you wake up all night, you won’t see Santa.” said Marge, and Lisa began to cry. “I want to go to Springfield Palace Hotel tomorrow and see Santa there.” said Bart.

It was bedtime for Bart, Lisa and Maggie. “Goodnight, Bart. Sweet dreams.” said Marge. “I forgot something!” said Bart, and he ran downstairs.

Bart put a mince pie, some orange juice and a pack of crisps on a tray at the front door of the house. “I hope Santa will like it!” he said, and he went back upstairs.

Bart went back into his bed. “Goodnight now, Bart. See you in the morning.” said Marge, and she closed his door. “I also brought one of my presents when I went back upstairs.” he whispered.

Bart opened one of his Christmas presents. “It’s a Iron Man DVD that I wanted for Christmas!” he said happily. “Well, I’m going to watch it tomorrow!”

Lisa was sad. “Well, I wanted to leave Santa a snack and a drink, but it was Bart’s turn to do it this year. I think I will have to do next year now.” she said, and she was fast asleep.

At midnight, a magical Santa came down the chimney at Marge’s house. “Wow, a mince pie, some orange juice and a pack of cheese and onion crisps!” he said.

“Thank you from one of the Simpson kids. That’s lovely.” said Santa, and he went back to the living room where the sack is. “This is three of Bart Simpson’s presents.”

“These three presents belong to Lisa, and two presents belong to Maggie, and finally, one present belongs to Marge.” said Santa. “Let’s go to the next house!”

At 3:30am, Bart and Lisa went downstairs to see all of the presents hiding under the Christmas tree. “Wow! Santa must have brought presents for me, you, Maggie and Mum!” he said.

Bart went back to his bedroom, and so did Lisa. “I’m so excited for Christmas. I wish I can open all of my presents under the Christmas tree.” he said, and he went back to sleep, so they should open their presents on Christmas Day.
