The Simpsons Stories: Marge’s Sad Day

by Darcy May Partridge

One morning, Marge is reminding Bart something for his day. “You have Milhouse coming to you at my house as you have me this weekend.” she said. “Okay, Mum.” he said.

Marge started to cry in the living room and the doorbell rang. Bart opened the door. “It’s you, Milhouse!” said Bart excitedly, and he went to the kitchen with Milhouse.

“I’ve got something sad to say to you. Marge is crying in the living room because she has a sad day. Before we play, can we all cheer her up?” asked Bart. “Okay, Bart.” said Milhouse, and he was a little bit nervous.

Bart and Milhouse went to the living room with Lisa and Marge. “How are you, Marge?” he asked. “I’m sad. I’m having a sad day today.” she sobbed.

“Mum, are you okay?” asked Bart. “No. I’m sad today.” sobbed Marge. “I’ll dry the tears away for you.” said Lisa, and she dried away Marge’s tears from her eyes and cheeks.

Bart and Milhouse went upstairs. “Let’s go in my room and play here!” he said, and they both went into his bedroom and played some toys.

“Let’s play with Spiderman, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man and Captain America!” said Bart excitedly. “Are they figures?” asked Milhouse. “Yes, they are. Mostly, they are action figures.” he said.

Bart and Milhouse played with four action figures in his bedroom. “Ahh! The Incredible Hulk is going to eat me!” he said with the Captain America figure. “Iron Man, take Captain America somewhere safe!” he shouted with the Spiderman figure.

“Let’s eat some snacks, Milhouse.” said Bart. “Okay!” groaned Milhouse, and they both went downstairs to the kitchen to have some snacks. “We can choose any snack we want, Milhouse!” he said.

Bart chose Lays cheddar and bacon crisps, three Jam ‘n’ Cream biscuits, three cheese singles and some apple juice. “I’m having Quavers crisps, three Party Rings, one cheese single and some orange juice.” said Milhouse.

Marge and Lisa came in to the kitchen to sit with Bart and Milhouse. “Would you like something to eat, Mum?” he asked. “I would really like to have three Party Rings to make me feel better.” she said.

“Oh, thank you, Bart!” said Marge, and she was happy. “You’re welcome.” said Bart, and they are all eating their snacks, expect Lisa doesn’t eat any snacks, so he and Milhouse get to play in his bedroom again.
