Day 1 (19th of Dec.)| Morning

Palace of Parliament

Our bus departures from the hotel at 11.00 a.m

The architectural design and construction of the Palace of Parliament are completed by Romanians. Most of the building materials and furniture used are produced in Romania. In addition, it is 12 stories high, reflecting the superb construction technology of Romanians. One of the largest buildings in the world, and is considered to be the great building of the country in the twentieth century.

Day 1 | Afternoon

King Mihai I Park (Parcul Herăstrău)

Entrance: Free

Length of Stay: 2 hours

 

 

There is a lakeside health trail of about 7 kilometers in the park. Every morning and evening, you can see all kinds of local people who come here to exercise. It is very lively. The restaurants and bars along both sides of the lake are also very popular. It is a good leisure choice to choose to listen to music, eat and enjoy the scenery here.

Day 2 (20th of Dec.)| Morning

Romanian National Museum of Art

The Romanian National Museum of Fine Arts is located in the Royal Palace, and because of this, this palace has also been the focus of various political events in Romania for decades. The battles that took place here even affected the safety of the collections here. Now the walls of the museum are still full of bullet holes, black smoke and fire traces are faintly visible, some reliefs have been smashed and broken, and the original details are difficult to repair. The Romanian Art Zone within the museum displays more than 700 portraits, tapestries and sculptures. In the international art gallery, there are many works of world-class masters: from 17th century prints and paintings to Rodin, Boudelle, Monet, Sislo, Seurat, Rafaeli, Pissarro, Renoir and Picasso and others have works. The treasures of the palace are Rodin’s “The Kiss”, “The Age of Bronze” and Boudelle’s “Hercules of Archery”.

The National History Museum of Romania

Entrance: 4,80 EURO

Length of stay: 2 hours

 

The museum displays Romanian historical relics from prehistoric times to modern times. The museum is composed of about 60 exhibition rooms. Currently, the Romanian National History Museum has two large permanent exhibitions and historical treasures and copies of the Tulazhen column.

Day 2 | Evening

Revolution Square

Entrance: Free

Length of stay: 1 hour

 

It’s part of a broader monument that honors the victims of the Romanian Revolution of 1989, in which communism was overthrown. Designed by Alexandru Ghilduş, the memorial is a single centerpiece of white marble that reaches towards the sky, and with its 25 meters (82 feet) height the pillar has a metal “crown” near the top.

Day 3 | Morning

Village Museum

It is an open-air museum that introduces Romanian rural architecture, folk art and peasant customs. The museum is a large garden. The buildings, including houses, churches and workshops, were relocated from rural areas across Romania in the 1930s. Interestingly, these housing buildings are distributed in 6 exhibition areas, and these 6 exhibition areas are divided according to the location of the 6 natural administrative areas in Romania. The buildings in each exhibition area reflect the local characteristics of the corresponding area.

Day 3 | Afternoon

Arcul de Triumf

Length of Stay: 1 hour

 

The first, wooden, triumphal arch was built hurriedly, after Romania gained its independence (1878), so that the victorious troops could march under it. But the new arch, designed by Petre Antonescu and executed in stone, was launched on 1 December 1936.

Romanian Athenaeum

Concert Entrance: 21 EURO

George Enescu Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra has a concert at 7 p.m

 

The Romanian Athenaeum is a concert hall in the center of Bucharest and one of the landmark buildings in Bucharest. It was built in 1865 by the Romanian Athens Cultural Association and was designed by the French architect Albert Galleron.

Old Town

The Old Town of Bucharest is the historical center of Bucharest, and Lipscany is an important street and a district. From the Middle Ages to the early 19th century, it was one of the important business districts in Romania.

Dambovița River

 Length of Stay: 1 Hour

 

 

The Dembovica River is a river in southern Romania and a tributary of the Arges River, a tributary of the Danube. The total length is 286 kilometers, and the drainage area is 2,837 square kilometers. Originating in western Romania, it flows southeast through the Romanian plain. It is also the main river that flows through Bucharest.
