Koka Sand was born in Romania and came to Israel as a participant in the Maccabi games of 1933 at the age of 18.

She lived in Tel-Aviv all her life. She married had 4 children and 10 grandchildren, and only then at the age of 60 she enrolled at the Open University where she started painting. Within two years she was doing so well that her paintings were in demand at exhibitions.

Art became the “Love of Her Life”‘At the age of 94 when she passed away her collection of paintings had grown immensely. She loved her work so much that she refused to sell any of it and left it to her children and grandchildren.
