I know the journalists were released.  So they’ve converted to Islam.  If that’s how they got their freedom, then why not?  The Christians employed the same tactics in Europe not so many centuries ago.  I’m glad those men were released but the part about Islam is a big laugh.

On a much more serious note:  the leader of Hezbollah is now saying that he never imagined such a war would break out because of his kidnapping of those soldiers.  If that’s true, then it means that Israel has been able to teach this cheeky, arrogant little puppy a well deserved lesson.  Maybe he’ll think twice before he decides to walk into someone else’s country again.

Gosh, I wish he WERE a cheeky, arrogant little puppy. This man is a sophisticated wager of war against the West.

He refrains from mentioning the soldiers he killed in Israeli territory and 6 years of war build-up.

He knew exactly what he was doing, and also knew that, by playing the war game this way – and by Israel continuing to wage war in an honourable manner – he couldn’t lose.

Actually, had Israel used the WWII Allied/Syrian/Jordanian technique, and just wiped out the Hezbollah and all civilians in the neighbourhood, Hezbollah would STILL have won…That IS the problem. How DO you fight such an opponent?
