Introduction

This book talks about a girl who was diagnosed with cancer when she was just twelve years old, she used to be happy and spread her happiness to others.

There are parts in the book where her parents talk about her process, and there is one that broke my heart in one million pieces because it talks about “the final phase”, when her parents thought she was “leaving”, and I think that is the worse feeling or thought for a parent, I cannot even imagine so.

There is another part in the book, in that part she was gone; her death was not the end of her life, it was just the beginning of a wonderful revolution.

The reason why she was so famous is because she used to have a blog, where she wrote every part of her process, but the majority of the blogs talk about different themes, in all of them stood out her positivism, and that is what people liked about her; another reason why she is famous is because the book “The Fault In Our Stars” is based on her and her life.

I can say that she inspires me because she always saw the positive side of every single thing, even her cancer; I think it is not tragic, and like people say “things happen for a reason”, maybe some persons could think that she did not deserve it, but I think the way you deal with life, is what makes you who you are.

People in the Story

Esther Earl: she is a good and happy girl, with lots of energy, a person who you would like to talk with.

Lori Earl (mother): she is a sensitive but good person, patient, and a lovely mom.

Wayne Earl (father): he is a good person, patient, lovely and funny.

I recommend this book and I think others should take a look on it because sometimes it is good reading someone else’s life, and how they take their decisions, and in that way you can learn from them; in addition, her positivism is going to be an important part of the book, that you will not feel her death.
