Waterfalls in Upstate New York

This is Taughannock Falls in Trumasburg, New York. This is one of the first waterfalls I ever saw because I live about twenty minutes from it. It is the tallest waterfall east of the rocky mountains. It is taller than Niagara Falls.

this is Buttermilk Falls, located in another state park on the south end of Ithaca.

Watkins Glen State Park also has many waterfalls, and it is more famous for the way the water has carved through the rock.

Ithaca Falls is one of the most powerful and also easy to get to. It’s not in a State Park so it is free to see year round.

My favorite waterfall is Lucifer Falls which is one of many falls on a hiking trail in Truman State Park.
