Grumpy Lumpy Can’t Decide

Lumpy woke up one morning feeling a bit funny

It wasn’t a pain in her head or an ache in her tummy

She went with mama and they sat side by side

But when it came to breakfast she just couldn’t decide

Porridge, bananas or juicy slices of pear?

Lumpy said NO to them all and slid off her chair

Poached eggs, some rashers or yummy jam on toast

She just couldn’t decide what she wanted the most

After a long time of whining Lumpy felt very hungry

and couldn’t help notice her mama looked angry

Maybe better to decide on only one thing

She said to herself as the microwave went PING

And before Lumpy could ask ‘what made that noise?’

Her mama put on the table some microwaved toys!

Lumpy gasped in amazement at the colourful brew

There were melting green yoyos and a yucky doll’s shoe

I can’t eat that! Lumpy said with a sigh

I know what I’d like is a slice of fish pie!

Fish pie for breakfast!

That sounds disgusting

Do you think Lumpy’s tummy needs a little adjusting?

But sure enough Lumpy demolished her pie

and felt so much better having made up her mind

So from that day on Mama made a weird morning dish

A pie for Lumpy containing lots of fresh fish!
