Joel’s present

Joel was making his afternoon tea as was thinking about his upcoming birthday.

He will be turning 70 this Friday and has planned a family gathering at his house.

He has lived at the same house for years.

He has seen his children grow and start their own lives and his grandchildren being born.

Joel has a very stricked routine.

He likes to drink his tea after an hour nap in the afternoon. Then, he listens to his favourite records on his old record player.

He likes to read the newspaper before dinner and fall asleep on the sofa during the evening news.

The next day, a mysterious package came.

It was a birthday present from his family – a laptop.

Joel was surprised. He never expected to receive a present like this. Every one knew he was an old-fashioned man who liked the 60’s and listening to records.

What on Earth would he do with a computer?

He had no idea what to do with a laptop. He didn’t even know how to open it.

He tried to open it with a screwdriver.

His wife was alarmed:

“What are you doing?????? You will ruin it!!! Call your grandson. He will help you!”

So Joel called Gal and asked for help.

Gal came over as fast as he could.

“Come on grandpa, it’e easy. Look!”

They spent several hours together, learning all there is to know about laptops and the internet.

It took some time, but finally Joel got it.

A month later, Joes has become a GTA master player.

He now owned a laptop, a smart TV, a smart phone and a kindel.

And Gal?

Whenever he needs help with his smartphone, he goes to his grandfather – “the new tech master”
