My trip to south america

Going on a trip to South and Central America was the perfect way for me to start my life, after serving five-years in the army.

I decided to ease my trip by meeting someone online on Facebook, because all of my friends already did their journeys. This was a great way to have a soft landing and get comfortable with the idea of traveling alone.

I started my journey in Mexico.

I continued to travel with new friends that I met there. Then, I made a spontaneous decision to fly to Cuba with two friends from the army.

The experience of exploring a new country with old friends been an incredible bonding experience.

As my adventure continued, I made my way to Peru, where I met several different groups of people. They were very welcoming, and I felt at home.

In Peru that I met my partner and it made my trip even more special.

We continued to travel together, and explored some amazing places like Uruguay and Brazil.

I can tell that Brazilian people are very similar to Israeli people.

They are known for their love of life, music, and dance.

They are very friendly and warm, and they are often described as being “crazy” in the best possible way, like us.

The experience of seeing new sights, tasting new foods, and meeting new people was truly unforgettable.

So a journey that I started on my own, without much planning, unlike what I’m used to…

Arrive somewhere I’ve never been.
Speak Spanish more than any other language,
Speak Portuguese (or at least try) and learn to love it over time.
Sleeping with strangers in the room, dancing with Cubans, trekking on mountains, jumping from waterfalls, swimming in dark caves, babysitting random babies, learning to surf with lots of falls,
Get to know people from different places in Israel and around the world, get to know so many different cultures, different languages, meet a lot of good people who have become family ❤
I’m grateful for the views, the experiences, the people, grateful for memories that will last a lifetime.
