Rak Rega Rock

I get to the tahana at twenty to one

And  I just missed the bus,

Well I’m a son of a gun

But pretty soon I’m joined by people by the score

All standing at the tahana and waiting out of tor

And just as I’m getting kvetched by the crowd

The next bus pulls away and leaves me

Crying out loud

Rak rega rock

Rak rega rock

Rega rock

I finally get on about half past one

And I don’t recall, was it Egged or Dan

So I asked the driver is this a 79?

He said “Go outside son and have

A look at the sign”

The bus was so crowded

I couldn’t even see

All the other people standing

Right next to me

One was sitting on my shoulder

One was dancing on my hand

And further down the bus

I hear a rock ‘n roll band

And they are playing

Rak rega rock

Rak rega rock

Rak rega rock

The rock ‘n roll band at the back of the bus

Are really rocking and a rolling and

Creating a fuss

The bus it starts rocking to and fro in rhythm

And we ain’t got much choice

We’s rock and rolling withm

But that’s just when the going gets rough

I press the caftor

It lights the atsor

But he steps on the gas

When I’m halfway out the door

And I’m screaming
