My book today is about my workplace for the last 3.5 years.
3.5 years ago I returned from the big trip I made in the East and was looking for a new job.
Through a mutual friend on Instagram I came to a food bar called “The Old North” that had just opened and was looking for a new staff.
I did a job interview and started working there as a waitress.
After about two months, the corona period started, and even then I stayed working there (as a food packer for deliveries).
When the restaurants reopened I went back to work there, and after a few months I became a shift supervisor, which is my job to this day.
On Saturday 15.4 the Old North was closed. Unfortunately, after a very long period of trying, it was difficult to get a permanent audience, so the place did not bring in enough money to stay open.
I was actually at this workplace from the first day to the last day. At that time I was part of an opening team, over time I brought a lot of close friends to work with me there.
I really enjoyed this period, I learned a lot as a shift supervisor about managing under pressure, order and organization between many parties, dealing with customers and more.
I also had a lot of fun with the staff, from the waitresses to the kitchen staff.
I never got to be part of a workplace from its first day to its last day, I met a lot of people who will stay with me for life and I discovered that I am a person who likes to stay in a place that is familiar and good to him.
I have been in the world of restaurants since 2017 and now this period is over and I am looking for my first job in the profession.
